She has successfully represented companies and employees in a full range of employment matters, including seven- and eight-figure contract negotiations, high-value discrimination claims, compensation disputes, terminations, whistleblower complaints, and disputes concerning restrictive covenants and trade secrets. Megan also represents companies in complex multi-party commercial litigations on both the plaintiff and defense side.

Megan has extensive experience conducting internal investigations and drafting independent reports concerning allegations of misconduct and whistleblower complaints brought against companies. She likewise counsels executives and high performing professionals navigating workplace investigations that threaten their reputations and livelihoods.

Notable Matters

  • Co-first chair trial counsel representing the former head of equities at Credit Suisse, resulting in $8.7 million FINRA award and finding that Credit Suisse and its successor UBS acted in bad faith when it canceled the client’s deferred compensation.
  • Successful resolution on behalf of a publicly traded media company involving multi-million dollar contractual, IP, trade secret, and business tort claims arising from the termination and transfer of the Sports Illustrated license in multi-party litigation in the Southern District of New York.
  • Obtained a JAMS arbitration award of over $2.7 million (including liquidated damages and attorneys’ fees) for breach of contract, quantum meruit, and violation of the New York Labor Law arising out of employer’s improper withholding of former employee’s earned bonus based on net profits of a transaction for which he was the lead investment banker.
  • Successful representation of entrepreneur against real estate brokerage Compass in multi-year litigation resulting in Compass recognizing the client as a founding team member and publicly reporting a $21 million legal charge in connection with the settlement.
  • Achieved a $3.9 million settlement against Wells Fargo on behalf of a class of financial advisors.
  • Winning over $2.2 million in a FINRA arbitration for a former Leveraged Finance executive at a global investment bank whose deferred compensation was wrongfully withheld for allegedly engaging in “competitive activity”.
  • Representation of a leading California cannabis testing lab, its officers and directors, and shareholders in multi-jurisdiction litigation against its former Chief Executive Officer. Following a successful JAMS arbitration, the former CEO voluntarily dismissed a 13-count derivative complaint filed against the company and over 50 stakeholder defendants.
  • Successful representations of executives and founders in employment and termination disputes, including CEOs of publicly traded and Fortune 500 Companies, the CTO of an AI startup, the senior-most sales executive at a publicly traded technology company, and a senior sales executive at a high-profile social media company.
