Adam Oppenheim is a relentless advocate for his clients, combining the skills of an aggressive courtroom litigator and the patience of an effective negotiator in handling high-stakes commercial disputes across a broad range of industries.
A native New Yorker with over twenty years of experience at some of the City’s most sophisticated law firms, Adam has a proven record of safeguarding the assets, reputations, and long-term interests of his clients. He is a veteran practitioner in federal and state court and regulatory enforcement proceedings, and exceptionally skilled in arbitration and mediation.
Adam represents owners and stakeholders in business disputes spanning a wide range of areas including real estate development and investment and the financial services industry.
He began his legal career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, and later spent over five years as part of the legal team at Baker Hostetler LLP that recovered (at that time) over $13 billion on behalf of the Trustee of Madoff Investment Securities.
Adam has been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year since 2014.

Adam’s career successes include:
- A string of recent victories in Trial and Appellate Courts on behalf of Arencibia & Co., a business leader in the highly specialized field of high-end residential construction and renovation, and its founder, Joel Arencibia, against a range of business torts asserted by Arencibia’s former employer. - Received summary judgment on behalf of First New York in dispute brought by former partner challenging the firm’s operating agreement. Read the decision here.
- Victory in a private arbitration to recover amounts owed to a placement agent by a biopharmaceutical company following a successful private raise. Secured after years of overcoming delay tactics and prevailing in difficult litigation, the award included 100% of the damages sought and the recovery of legal fees.
- Victory in a FINRA arbitration brought by a wealth management advisor against Deutsche Bank, his former employer, resulting in the successful recovery of significant commissions owed but never paid. The Panel’s decision was the result of a lengthy investigation revealing that Deutsche Bank had attempted to hide and minimize its obligations.
- Successful representation of the Board of Managers of Trump Tower, White Plains, in bringing and favorably resolving civil RICO claims against the Board’s former treasurer. (Trump Tower at City Center v. Palazzolo et al., No. 16-cv-9188)
