Ashley Robinson is an accomplished commercial litigator experienced in business, labor, and employment disputes. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, relentless advocacy, and sound judgment.

Ashley has built a reputation for diligence and dedication, by listening to and understanding each client's unique circumstances and goals and collaborating to craft the right legal strategies and obtain successful outcomes.

Among other matters, she has represented businesses in high-stakes contract and competition claims as well as individuals and entities in free speech and intellectual property rights enforcement cases.

Ashley’s complex commercial litigation work has included a focus on breach of contract disputes, enforcement and defense of restrictive covenants and non-solicitation agreements (particularly in employment and financial services contexts involving investment firms, asset managers, and recruiters). In addition, she has handled intellectual property matters involving copyright infringement and First Amendment protections for artistic expression. Ashley plays an active role in the firm’s pro bono initiatives, driven by her commitment to justice beyond her commercial practice.

During law school, Ashley was a Charlotte B. and Morris Fishman Family Endowed Scholar, an Albert Fried Endowed Scholar, and also a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award.

Notable Matters

  • Ongoing representation of Joshua Raffaelli, former head of venture capital at Brookfield Asset Management for claims relating to compensation and whistleblower retaliation.
  • Represented renowned executive recruiting team lead by Nada Usina in a dispute over the team’s departure from a global recruiting firm, and in connection with the members' formation of a new firm.
  • Represented a leader of the Machine Learning team at one of the world’s leading algorithmic trading funds in connection with his departure from the firm to launch his own fund.
  • Ongoing representation of a private credit fund manager against breach of contract claims made by a former agent.
  • Represented artist Mason Rothschild in a ground-breaking 2023 federal jury trial involving trademark protection for NFTs in the Metaverse.
  • Representation of Post University in connection with its pursuit of large-scale copyright infringement claims against Learneo, an online education resource company, resulting in a $75.3 million jury verdict.
