In law school, she served as the chair of multiple student-run pro bono projects, including the RAP Sheet Assistance Program which worked in partnership with the Brooklyn Defender Services and the Bronx Defenders to improve the lives of individuals caught up in the criminal justice system
A lifelong New Yorker, Marilyn previously served as a legal fellow at a leading national animal welfare organization where she focused on corporate compliance and commercial transactions. In that capacity, she advised internal stakeholders on regulatory obligations, contractual commitments and best practices, and developed strategies for ensuring compliance and facilitating innovation while managing risks and liabilities.
