A dual-qualified litigator trained in both India and the United States, Hetali Sheth brings a rare global perspective to criminal defense, human rights, and complex commercial litigation.

Hetali’s practice focuses on complex commercial and employment litigation. She has successfully represented major clients in multi-million- and nine-figure disputes involving breach of contract, intellectual property infringement, copyright violations, and restrictive covenant disputes.

Hetali is admitted to the bar of Maharashtra and Goa in India, with experience spanning trials and appellate litigation across criminal defense, human rights, and international law.

Before joining Harris St. Laurent, Hetali earned her LLM from Cornell Law School and spent a year working on death penalty cases in the International Human Rights Clinic.

Prior to obtaining her LLM, Hetali graduated with First Class Honors from Government Law College in Mumbai, interned under a Former Justice of the Supreme Court of India, and built a trial practice in Mumbai specializing in white-collar defense, violent crimes, and national security, representing clients ranging from politicians to entrepreneurs.

In her pro bono work, she has focused on rights-based advocacy, representing clients in wrongful conviction and death penalty cases before trial and appellate courts in India. Notably, a majority of these individuals had spent decades incarcerated.
