Evan Bolla is an experienced litigator, business advisor, and problem solver. He represents executives, professionals, and companies in high-stakes disputes, including securing insurance coverage and advancement rights, as well as resolving commercial conflicts, employment issues, and allegations of professional misconduct.

Clients trust Evan to bring parties together. He takes pride in finding the off-the-beaten-path solution, the overlooked clause, the underused policy, or the conversation no one else thought to have, and turning it into real money and a clean resolution.

Legal disputes can feel overwhelming, whether it’s an insurer denying coverage, a former employer refusing to pay defense costs, or a business relationship falling apart. Evan steps in with calm and clarity to develop the optimal plan. He is motivated by the desire to help people solve their most pressing problems at the toughest times.

Evan has built a reputation for recovering tens of millions in insurance and advancement for clients, and for finding financial and strategic solutions where others don’t. He handles advancement and indemnification claims brought by officers, directors, and employees; advises companies on insurance coverage and strategy; counsels individuals on their rights related to employment terms such as non-competes and deferred compensation; and represents companies in sophisticated contractual disputes and other high-stakes commercial issues.

Evan also defends attorneys, executives, and other professionals against allegations of negligence, fiduciary breaches, fraud, and related misconduct, and advises on privilege, ethics, firm transitions, and sensitive internal matters. His matters span a wide range of industries, including financial services, professional services, medical and healthcare platforms (including MSOs and SaaS providers), aviation leasing, mortgage servicing and subservicing, SPACs, and emerging growth companies.

As the head of the firm’s Insurance Recovery & Advisory Group, Evan leverages his prior experience representing insurers to identify and unlock coverage others miss, often without going to war or damaging the client’s relationship with the carrier. His goal is to solve the problem, not escalate it unnecessarily.  General Counsel to the firm, Evan also sits on its Management Committee.

Recognized by industry media and observers for his achievements, Evan’s commentary on advancement, insurance, and litigation developments has appeared in the New York Law Journal, Law360, Law.com, and other publications.

Evan began his career at Bryan Cave LLP.
