Harris St. Laurent Elevates Commercial Litigator Juannell “Jay” Riley to Partner

Harris St. Laurent today announced that Juannell “Jay” Riley has been elevated to partner. Riley, a commercial litigator in the firm’s New York office, represents founders, executives, public-company boards and businesses in highly consequential  employment, contract and financial services disputes.

Riley recently secured the dismissal of shareholder derivative claims against the former board of directors of a publicly traded company in Graham v. Stotz, et al., No. A-26-943141-B (Nev. Dist. Ct., Clark Cnty. 2026). In 2026 alone, he has obtained tens of millions in settlements for clients.

Riley resolves many matters through negotiation but is equally prepared to take cases to court when that is what a client’s interests require.

Riley earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2019 and his B.A. from Lafayette College in 2015. He is admitted to practice in New York and represents clients nationwide.
