Andrew St. Laurent is a first-chair trial lawyer, with a depth and breadth of experience. He has tried more than 20 cases to verdict, from federal jury trials, to FINRA, AAA and JAMS arbitrations, and numerous New York State court bench and jury trials. He regularly represents plaintiffs and defendants in employment cases, shareholder and partnership disputes, and criminal and regulatory matters.

Recent representative matters include:

  • The complete dismissals of successive federal and state gender- and race-based discrimination claims against a supervisor at one of New York’s largest employers.

  • The successful resolution of parallel AAA arbitration and U.S. Department of Labor proceedings brought by a whistleblowing employee.

  • A successful appeal in the United States District Court against a contempt finding entered against the Chief Financial Officer of a petroleum trading entity by the United States Bankruptcy Court following the officer’s invocation of his rights under the Fifth Amendment and the successful defense of the District Court opinion in the United States Court of Appeals.

Mr. St. Laurent has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for the past ten years, 2013-2023.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as a staff attorney with the Manhattan Criminal Defense Practice of the Legal Aid Society, and previously worked as an associate at prominent white-collar criminal boutique Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, & Anello P.C.

Mr. St. Laurent clerked for the Honorable Allyne R. Ross, a District Court Judge in the Eastern District of New York, and the Honorable Diana E. Murphy, a Circuit Court Judge for the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He graduated from Brown University in 1994 and received his law degree from Columbia Law School in 1998.

He is admitted to the bar of New York, the bars of the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
